Default Attn: Jim Mazzola, the mounds are looking for you :)

Hello! I am from the Mounds ORV Park and I am looking from Jim Mazzola...is he still a part of this site? If so, please have him e-mail me. We were given money to start a rock crawl at the Mounds and the newspaper would like to do a write-up on it and I would love to have his opinion heard!
Thanks!

I got the same email for DMJC. I directed her to Genesee Parks System because I have no idea where this stands and I didn't want to speak for those working on this.

The funny thing, is the girl asked me a bunch of questions, and she is going to mention this website for people to check who are interested in the mounds receiving rocks.

That's just what that place needs along with about 900 acres of trails The rocks are a great start

Just finished the phone interview with the Flint Journal. Went well, instilled the importance of this facility in S.E. Michigan as it's our only place to play. Also reminded them of the fact this type of development is supported by the residents around the park as it will serve to reduce dust and speed and enhance the neighbors quality of life.
Next step should be developing the specifications for the Rock Crawl. Will see what GCP&R has invisioned....then we'll see if we can actually get the development like we'd like to see it. Not just a pile of rocks in the middle of an open field.

Thanks Kelly,
One thought I had is maybe we could still throw in donations for rocks like we talked about last year with the intent of adding the size of the course GCP&R would be able to afford. Or in addition I was thinking about a 'Log Climb'. Much like the Minnesota DNR had constructed @ Iron Range ORV Area. I've included that type of info for the GCP&R to consider when they start laying out the site plan.
We'll keep everyone in the loop especially when the RFP (Request for Proposal) comes out for the course.

a HUGE

THANK YOU!!!

. . . to Jim and GLFWDA for all of his/their involvement on this issue.

I think we can ALL agree that this is yet another victory for our side!

These little "victories" here and there are really starting to add up.
