flat towing question

well I know all about the flat towing procedures. My question is my jeep wanders once and a while. Does everything have to be completely perfect to be able to to flat tow? or will pulling the vehicle force the wheels to go straight?

thanks for the help,

Ty

Ive pulled my Jeep and a Tracker on a tow bar behind pickup w/camper and they both pull straight. Little slop OK. Will pull straight. Wanders ??? I once had a German Shorthaired Pointer that wandered! Put that Jeep on a chain and she'll stop wandering.

I flat two and I've had really good luck with it. Sometimes, my jeep will sway back and forth slightly. i wouldn't say it's wandering but it's definately a sway and I can feel in the tow rig. Honestly, it's not much different from the sway I occasionally experienced pulling a car hauler with the jeep on it. I've also found that there are certain speeds my jeep likes to be dragged at better than others. For instance 72 or so is no good, I either need to be below or above that. If I run at 72 it sways more. On 2 occasions, I've actually had my YJ go into death wobble while being pulled. both were at slow speeds 20 or less and after hitting a bump on just one front tire. I was able to stop it by slowing down to about 5-10 mph. My jeep would occasionally get death wobble like that when I was driving it too.
