Default ID trans and tcase

parting out a 94 cherokee sport 4.0 auto. Has a 231 J tcase. Trying to figure out if the tcase is a 23 spline and what tranny it has(without pulling these items off) any info would help. thanks

AW-4 trans and I think it should be a 23 spline, but not 100% positive.

It will be 23 spilne if it is original to the '94.

IIRC, they went from 21 to 23 spline in '91

Yeah, that is what I couldn't remember correctly, the year it switched, but yeah I think it was '91.
