i have no idea what tippy is talking about, a lock rite not being a locker...he must be high or something...

i run one in my front 44, on my cherokee. lock rite in the front, welded in the back, and i will NEVER run an open front again. i love it. i have not had many problems turning at all. someday, i will probably put a full detroit up front just for strength, but i love the lock rite.

Lockers front and rear is the only way to wheel. Granted it can make it tuff to steer out of ruts some time, but I would rather have a harder time doing that for being able to get through more locked locked.

Hey James you are going to put some 760-X spicers in right? Thats the only joint to run thats not $$$ worth spending money on.

I beat the hell out of my TJ D30 with lock rite when I had mine. No problems.

Driving on snow and ice was never a problem, I just slowed down to what the conditions required.

"Granted it can make it tuff to steer out of ruts some time" -- strange, I always see unlocked folks having a hard time since usually only one wheel is doing the work to claw out of a rut.

I love the lockers in my heep. And I can accomplish to turn out of ruts in mud and snow even with it in 4 lo. I havent found it bad on the road just lovely noise when One tire locks up bfore the other on ice. Just make sure to buy 760-X u joints or find D30 shafts with the 297 U-joint. Which I think are standard like 91 or 93 on up. not too sure
