I still love how people bash Granholm for the mess ENGLER left her with?!?! after he bled us dry with his kids.. as for uncle ted.. we got one nut job in office right now as it is with Bush.. so ted can complete thoughts and form a sentence this makes him a good choice? outside of hunting and gun laws what does he know about econmics and the like? Just not thinkin he is the man for the job.. I htink Jesse ventura was a better choice

Thanks to John Engler, there was still a Michigan for Granholm to screw up. Ted would be an interesting choice - you'd know right where he stood on whatever issue, but (like Ross Perot) I don't think he's be able to deal with the "consensus & compromise" that is politics. He's too used to "my way or the highway".

I find it interesting that so many folks consider the ability to speak well vital to a good leader & public servant. John Engler sucked at speaking, and managed to always look monumentally uncomfortable while doing so. Dubya's not much better.

However, let's look at some great public speakers - good style, great delivery, and a gift for banter and improvization. Bill Clinton is a truly gifted speaker, he can make you believe whatever he wants. Kwame ain't too shabby, as long as it's on his terms. Well, I've read that Hitler was an awesome speaker - while I've seen films, I don't know german so it all was so much gibberish to me, but the crowds were sucking it up. The there's John "tell me what the polls tell me I think today" Kerry - not a shabby speaker himself. And even Ted "Mr Potato Head" Kennedy can throw some good setences together when they sober him up enough. Granholm - she speaks well, but what has she DONE?

Nope, I'll take vision and leadership over a debate club champion. I don't agree with everything Dubya does, but I'll take his predicability and stability over a poll-driven face man...

ya know god love people thinkin like you duffman, englar is the reason our schools are in the shitter repealing the property taxes to pay for schools is only now begining to be felt in the schools.. it took a while to us the rainy day funds.. now there in dire straights.. but i would bet your for private schools or simliar systems so it dosnt effect you? Granholm has done a good job of dealing with what she got dumped with anyone who stepped up after Engler would have had the same shit storm.. Also love how you dont through any of the smooth talking in there.. figure with there private educations and all they could maybe be more insightfull and better speakers... guess Duba disproved that whole theory

well his Michigan ranch, which i don't think he lives at right now, is in Concord, MI, which is Jackson county, He is a deputy sheriff in Lake County MI i believe.

I like Ted, too bad his house got black mold and they had to tear it down, that is why he lives in Crawford Texas next to the president now.

I occasionally see him around still, i used to see that one guy i think his name is bill (sidekick on his TV show on OLN) all the time.

I know where nugents COncord house is :tonka: , granted i live 7 miles away from it.

and i always used to wave to him when i'd see him driving around
