my heeps

my jeeping carrier started when i met my wife and her stock jeep(97TJ). i just wanted to
go wheeling and we found this dodge power ram50 Piece of shit for cheap.

i bought her a brushguard, new wheels and 31's. (i like the jeep better than my truck)

my wife and me playing in her jeep.

so i bought myself a stock 95XJ. this was the first time flexing it(still stock). dealership provided a volvo to play on. (sorry. camera phone)

my first real trailride with a club (still stock)

newest addition to the family. 71 CJ5. hopefully ready by late summer06.

my wifes TJ was recently in an accident and is getting "fixed" with a HP dana30, 4"lift, SYE, new wheels w/33's,
new front bumper with 9000#winch, poison spyder rocker guards, etc...etc...etc....

and this x-mas my wife bought me a 3" lift for my XJ and gave me the wheels and 31's off of her TJ to put on the XJ.
it's also getting a new rear bumper from cassidy customs with D-rings and built in hitch receiver.

hopefully i'll be done "fixing" the TJ and putting the lift on the XJ in the next few weeks and then i'll post an update.

these jeeps just grow up so fast.

well as i had previously posted my wifes TJ was in an accident this last december when another car lost control in the snow and took out the front axle/suspension/steering/brush guard. so i went ahead and build it up. it took me from the 3rd week in december until the 2nd friday in febuary. so it's been done for a while and my wife loves it. (pics at end of post)

STARTED WITH:
97TJ 4.0L AX15 5 speed, Dana35 rear/Dana30 front w/3.55, bumper thumper brush guard

NOW:
97TJ 4.0L AX15 5 speed
factory new rear Dana44 housing
front HP Dana30 from 89XJ (used knuckles, axles shafts, brakes from 97)
4.56 gears, alloy USA axles and detroit truetrac
rear disc brakes from 05 rubicon w/proportioning valve from 05 rubicon
4" rough country lift with front/rear upper/lower adjustable control arms
Heckthorn shocks and steering stabilizer
front and rear quick disconnects
extended brakelines
adjustable trackbar
New AGR superbox 2 steering box
steering box skid plate
currie enterprise drag link
toys by troy alumi-flex tie rod
Advanced Adapters SYE w/Tom Woods driveshaft
Advanced Frame works Titan front bumper w/#9000 winch and 2 shackles
poison spyder rocker guards
Luk gold series clutch
New black crager wheels w/33" kumho venture MTR's w/BB balancing
flush mount valve stems
quick tire deflators
rollbar grab handles

well i finially got the Poison Spyder Rocker guards installed yesterday. i sandblasted them in my basement saturday afternoon, and then sprayed them with 4 cans of bedliner. turned out really nice. oh and i installed a 1/4" body lift because i was to lazy to "remove 3/8" from the top of the body mount" as per poison spyder's instructions. :D

Nice rigs. Id scuff the tj frame with a 5" grinder and apply a layer of undercoating.

/me hates rusty frames.

yeah that's next on my list. but right now i have to empty my garage first. i had to install those rocker guards in the alley where it's sitting in the pictures, cuz i have my XJ with the blown motor in the garage and my 71 that's all stripped down sitting/laying next to it.

hopefully in the next couple month i'll blast the frame and then spray it with bedliner or rubberized undercoating. for now i'll probably just hit it with a can of rust converter just so it looks black instead of rusty.

While I do think the XJ is quite smexy, I'm about to about the same lift/tire combo on my TJ, so I want a visual for how mine is going to look.

here is one of it with all the mods except the rocker guards on.

here she parked her newly lifted jeep at work, and her boss decided to park his hummer next to it.

then suddenly the "big dogs" decided to try and intimitade her....doesn't look like it's working. LOL

i actually had to add 2" spacers on top of the front 4" springs since the bumper and winch were so heavy.
