It's just so much fun wheeling with people that are afraid to scratch their rigs.

After getting bitched at by multiple buddys, I finally got off my ass and worked on my Jeep this weekend. I stipped the chassis and after cleaning it up I painted it with gloss black Chassis Saver. Even with just one coat its looking great! I brushed on the first coat but the second will be rolled on. I also painted the rear suspension links gloss white and will be doing the same with the front.

Before:

After:

I finally heard back from Shaffer's out in California and in about a week my new Walker Evan beadlocks will be shipped out. I also go get my new tub this week aswell.

This weekends plans will be to clean up all the armor and start prepping the new tub for paint. Once MR. Crawl gets back from the Ultimate Adventure I can go get my new set of 60's and get the rear 60 modified.

Well slowly but surely Ive been still working on this, frame and links are fully painted with just a little bit of touch up needed, I sent out my rear 60's Friday to get modified. Im converting a narrowed semi float rear HP60 to full width (66.5"), full float 8 lug and having the spindles bored out to 35 spline. The axle work is being done by Kevin at All Kustom Design Machines in Ray Mi.

The front axle is mostly disassembled for paint & inspection. I plan on taking out the Atlas T-case this week so i can paint the raw cast parts and polish the machined surfaces (piss off if you dont like that ). Hopefully after about 2 months my wheels might finally show up by next week. I also soon will start working on the body work and mocking up the armor.

You're blingin out your atlas like highschool kids "customized" their interiors? Painting everything you can remove white?

Just slap it back together, it's going to rust in a year anyway....

I'll probably beat you at this point!

There is only 2.75" total difference between the front and rear axle widths

Didnt you "polish" you transmisson? Im painting the raw cast aluminum parts so they are easier to keep clean, I hate trying to clean dirty aluminum. Not that its a major issue but why not.

I wire-wheel'd it because it looked like crap, how bad is your atlas?

If you dont like having to clean aluminum, go get some alumabrite and wash it with that every year or two.
