Default 305 into 94 s10--Tranny?

I am dropping a rebuilt chevy 305 into my 94 s10 4x4. This will eliminate the need for the pcm, but I was wondering if that means that Ill need to get a 700r4 to replace my 700r4e electronic tranny.

Being a 94 the tranny is a 4l60E.... yes. You will need a 700R4 to replace it with.

yeah, I found a controller that is made for the 4l60e, but it is $1200 and looks like a bit of work. do you remember who made the one you mentioned?
