Default Just where are the "mounds" ?

Here in Wisconsin we call Silvert Lake State park the mounds.
I heard there is a place in North Mi called the mounds.

"The Mounds" are in Mt. Morris, MI (near Flint). It's in Mid-Michigan. It is mostly large mud pits, but has some nice trails. I go out there a lot in the summer, and the pic in my Avatar was taken there.

that will confuse me because there is a place here called sleeping bear dunes, though I hear the place is over packed and not worth it.

In fact the greenies are trying to get Sleeping Bear Dunes named as one of the next wilderness areas. That means that they would remove all of the roads and access would be limited to walk ins.
