Default whats this 74 Waggy worth? *PICS*

401/TH400/Quadratrac w/low range
California Jeep
seems to be pretty solid and looks like original paint. Runs like a champ. Drives good except for a pop in the steering when turning. 124k 0n the odometer. Brand new tires. Is it worth $2000?

i would say yes in that condition. 401's go for over $1000 alone on ebay, they are quite rare and valauble. The condition of the body and the rest of the jeep is in good shape, and i would say it is worth it. I know you would be able to part the jeep out for more than that, i would pick it up if i had the cash

Having parted out QT FSJ's in the past, I would disagree. I don't think it has much value to someone that didn't intend to use it as a winter vehicle or daily driver since its a QT. They aren't bad cases, but it would suck if it was a non-low range model (they're out there) and you're kind of limited to either an overdrive or an underdrive and no other case is compatible with that TH400. It also has an offset rear axle, so just changing the trans and tcase to a centered output doesn't solve the issue. You would really have to nickel and dime it parts wise to cover $2k if all you wanted was the motor. I would secure a good 360, swap it in, and resell it.

The world does not revolve around eBay's "price structure". $1000 for a used motor that you can't even inspect that also has to be shipped is stupid.
