I sthe Mustang 8.8 the same width as a Exsploder? Any differences other than being 4 link?

Ya 4cly were, I'm looking for a 8.8 with 4.10 gears to trade a matching pair of D44's for. And I have a posible offer on a Mustang 8.8 other than it's 4 link I don't have any other info at this time....

there is a one huge differnce. mustang axles are 27 or 28 spline dont remeber. explorer axles are 31spline. for the price that 8.8's goes id pass on it.

Ya but after mid '90s the Stangs are also 31 spline acording to some stang sights. But ya I'm passing on it cause he just let me know it's a 4 lug, 4 poper axle

scrapbusters in Wayne has new explorer 8.8 axles, 4.10 gears with disc brakes out the door for $220

80s and early 90s GTs and LX 5.0s were still 4 lug. 4 cyls, did they get the 8.8? I didn't think so...

nope, only time I have been there was for the axle, he wouldn't even let me walk the yard unless I pais another dollar.

Do they have any fullsize stuff there?
