Default wtb: small starter - found

I'm looking for something that can turn at least 500rpm with 50 in lb of force that is small and light for turning over a high compression weedwacker engine. Thanks!

Need more information.

Is this engine staying in the weed wacker, or is mounted to something else?

might want to look into the gas powered radio control industry. the 1/4 scale stuff uses 31 cc gas engines. i know some of them use electric start.

I thought that before I posted, but figured they wouldnt be powerful enough. I did find something though. It cost $130 for the starter, but then I noticed they had a part listing. $45 for just the motor - score! Its the biggest thing they offer and I think it will fit out needs nicely. It provides 37in/lbs (I was exxagerating on the 50 part - we absolutely needed 35) at enough RPM to get some more mechanical advantage out of it just for more breathing room.

I called them up (tower hobbies), and gave me the weight (its for a supermilage car) and even a dyno sheet. We saved over 15lbs from our previous starter. Its a Sullivan Stage 4 motor if that means anything to anyone.

Like I said in my above post - a supermilage car. Last year we got 700mpg with a blown headgasket, so dropping 15lbs and having a good HG (hopefully) we should be much improved.
