My hubby is a Sgt with Oakland and yes it was a deputy that was involved, as far as I know they were both going to be okay.

I know the owner of the Comanche, he's a friend from church and lives in Holly. It's his winter "plow the drive" pickup. I don't know any of the details of the accident, but the Comanche guy is at Genesys at least overnight for observation/evaluation. I think he got a couple of stitches, maybe in his head.

Default Update on comanche driver

He was still at Genesys yesterday (1/13) afternoon. His spleen was bleeding, but stopped before they did surgery. He took a pretty good knock on the head, but there don't seem to be any following problems from that. I think that they're just watching to make sure nothing else is bleeding/damaged inside.
