Lessee, the have their first, handed to them on a platter opportunity in 2008, and they're picking from the rookie black guy (not even a term in the senate yet), the psycho bitch form hell (Hillary), and the shyster lawyer who "channels" dead infants in search of a higher jury award...

McCain has a fighting chance.

I would pick Edwards over Clinton. I predict Clinton will run with Edwards as the Vice Pres when the Dems are done sorting it out. Or vice versa.

The fact that he ran with that other clown, John Kerry, is enough for me not to want to vote for him.

I like how I throw out some statistics to make your hero look like an idiot, and like an idiot yourself, you talk about something having zero to deal with the presidential race.

Just showing how you chose the loosing ticket in the MI Gubernatorial Race so you can understand backing a loosing ticket since you obviously don't think he will win.

And your stats simply point out that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer . . . I thought you didn't need me to explain that for you.

I think fighting poverty is a good idea. Why wouldn't you want to help the poor??

I don't care for Edwards because:

(1) He's the worst kind of class action-filing, ambulance-chasing, poster child for tort reform lawyer there is. He's bragged that he was personally repsonsible for the increase in unnecessary ceasarean sections in the southeast (beacause he specialized in suing OB-GYNs). Kid ugly? Sue the doctor! Kid have a congenital birth defect? Sue the doctor! Kid look like your neighbor? Sue the doctor! Hell, it's him and those like him that have run drug and medical costs up. Not suprisingly, much of his campaign $ comes from lawyers and industry types who want to stifle any type of tort reform.

(2) He's working the "I'm the son of a mill worker" bit just a little too hard - playing the common-man proletariat card as only a wealthy limousine liberal can.

(3) In terms of policy, he's a Kennedy-style liberal democrat, with dreams of hundreds of new "social programs" (translation: LBJ "War On Poverty"-style handouts, which are a proven dismal failure).

Admittedly, he's good-looking, dynamic, and photogenic/telegenic. He's an excellent speaker and thinks failly well on his feet - maybe the best out there today. But that's just not enough.

I think welfare is a good idea but needs reform and I'll agree with his likability which will atleast give him an approval rating above 40%

Let me guess - raising the minimum wage will stimulate the economy too!

I'm thinking he's either baiting you or the economics programs at CMU were spelled with a "k" and "u". (i.e. "ekunomics")...

No, I was raised with a loving heart that is willing to help those that need a helping hand. Not to keep helping them for the rest of their lives but to help them enough to get back on their feet. And that would be welfare properly reformed.

There is no such thing as welfare reform. Wont ever happen. To many lazy asses that want to live off of it.

IF it could be fixed to where it was used a a helping hand, fine. I dont think that it will be.

If you think for a second that we dont have "a loving heart that is willing to help those that need a helping hand" Because we dislike the wefare system, you are nuts. Anyone that knows me knows that I give till I'm broke when people really need help.
