Default Scout axles

I have a set of scout axles for sale. I have to check the bom but I believe they are about '76. They are in working order and everything spins correctly. They would probably benefit from new calipers but the old ones are there. I'll have to check for the ratio but its stock so its in the 3.54 range. I guess these are what people use (along with wagoneer) for swapping in 44's into a cj. The diff is passenger side drop. Lug pattern is 5 on 5.5. Lookin for $300 for the set or $200 for the front and $100 for the rear. 989.284.8750 Thanks, Tab

Please let me know what the gear ratio is. If it's 3.54, I'm definitely interested in the rear, and possibly both the front & rear axles. You can reply here, or e-mail me at one_x_one_craig@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Craig

I'm not sure. I have only owned one Scout, and mine had tags. Let me know what you find out.

Any idea what kind of mileage is on these? Are they still under the vehicle?

Thanks,
Craig

they had around 65-70 thousand on them. They were under a lot plow truck and they are no longer under it. I got them from a friend who bought them for a s10 blazer project that has failed. That is the info he gave me.

Hi Tab,

I didn't want you to think I was leaving you hanging. I ended up finding a wide-track CJ Dana 44 to use instead (I bought the whole vehicle). The 3.07 gears wouldn't have been what I was looking for anyway; I needed 3.54.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks,
Craig

One of the guys that hangs with Denny and Mike from Denny's Pole Barn is looking for a front scout 44. Might want to give Denny a call and see if he can hook you up. They dropped by my place on Tuesday but I only have a rear. Good luck.

They are 3.07 ratio. The rear is sold but I still have the front for $200. Thanks, Tab
