is there a special tool to take the upper ball joint bushing out of the knuckle

hehehe what are they odds that there'd be two of us looking for this damn tool on the same day....... I'll let you know if I find one. I'm thinking about making one now.

I made one with the right size socket. But some auto stores will have it, or www.partsmikeparts.com will have it, about $30 IIRC.

Yes. I've used a punch and hammer before though.

I made one out of a piece of pipe weldedto a nut. i don't know about the punch idea as you have to re-install them torqued to a certian spec. 25ftlbs iirc.
