Time to get those letter writen to the state!

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is ready to make a statement of concern to the legislature and govenor about it's proposal to continue for the next two decades with what it thinks needs to be the future of ORV riding in the State with regard to public trails, county roads and a riding area in Southeastern Michigan. We as ORVers have a last chance to make our voices heard by sending letters to the authorities to make sure we're included in the process.
Think about what you want on the ground and send in your thoughts.
you have until 1-1-07 to get these is so make it happen people

if you need to read up on what the state has in its vision go to the ORV draft plan here http://www.michigan.gov/documents/OR...n_133074_7.pdf

IE now is the time to quit your bitching people and try to do something about it!!!

Just sent my letter to each of them. It takes a whole 5 to 10 minutes. NOTHING will happen if they don't hear from us. Flood their email with letters of support!

Think about it, the 'greenies' will likely be writing their letters and influencing the governor, if they have 40 or 50 people write in and we have 1000 I think they will notice us for once!

I just wanted to add, the guy did make one recomendation. he wanted the cost of ORV stickers jacked to $25.50 to cover rising maintenance costs and to make way for more safety training that may or may not happen. I warned them it was a bad idea to jack the price because it would cause more folks to do without a sticker.
