Default WMDs in Iraq? Democrats thought so!

Very interesting. The seem hell bent on blamming the president for going into Iraq after WMDs. However, here are many of the democratic party leaders saying that there were WMDs there.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePb6H-j51xE

Sounds like the president had some reason to believe that there was something there if all of our leaders (D or R) did!

P.S.- I was actually at that Madeiline Albright town hall meeting in Columbus when she said that!

Watched the link. Sure are alot of Dems saying its ok. I still can't understand why we all but stopped hunting Bin Ladin and put all efforts in Iraq. WMD threat, yes I understand, but totally bailing out of Afganistan without Bin Ladin has me confused.

I remember Colin Powells presentation of the weapons. How they were hiding them. Where they were hiding them. Detailed photos and drawings of where they were building them in semi trailers. Hell I was convinced also. Turns out he was wrong. So everyone who supported the attack on Iraq was basically misled.

Hey, FYI, we're still in Afghanistan. We didn't "bail out". Still there and looking for Bin Laden.

The main topic of my post was to point out that the dems also agreed that there were weapons. And now they blame bush solely for saying that there were weapons.

Bin Ladin is in Pakistan now, at least thatís what everyone thinks. It seems we decided not to go into Pakistan because they are "partners" in the war on terror.

I think the real reason.... Because the US going into Pakistan is the quickest way to destabilize the country, a country that has a nuclear arsenal. Probably the only quicker way to give terrorist nukes than waiting for Iran to develop them.

Don't you love the middle east?

I'm not convinced they weren't shipped to Syria. In the days before the campaign against Iraq started, there were huge convoys moving material to Syria around the clock. I have no doubt some WMDs (along with a lot of money and other valubles ) made that trip.

But either way, it speaks to the very nature of military/foreign intelligence. It's an inexact field, made up of equal parts art and science. Flawed intelligence is not a "lie".

Ummm...those WMD could have made it to the hands of someone like Osama and then to the U.S. They would then be used against civilian populations here in the states. I think that would be worrying about his own country.

What do you think the release of some kind of major toxin in New York or LA would do to the economy?

So if we're saying they can't have them in case they use them on us then we shouldn't have them either.

We should also set a good example and disarm all our nukes.
I'm sure that would bring peace to the world.

1. We are in Afganistan.
2. WMD's was only one reason for going into Iraq.
3. WMD's were found in Iraq.
4. Nuclear Non proliferation Treaty, please read about it.
5. The economy is booming, everywhere but michigan. My portfolio is at about 14% for the year, very nice!
6. War with Iraq never ended after the Gulf war. We had planes flying the no fly zone everyday. They were shot at frequently near the end(an act of war). Once Sadam kicked out UN inspectors, that he agreed to have to end GWI hostilities, it was our duty to enforce the rules. The rest of the UN were just too busy collecting money from Sadam to support Us.

Please stop watching the TV news and do some research on recent history, the truth is out there.
