Default New to forum, not to wheeling

Well I'd like to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Frank and I own a small off road business, www.sdori.com. My wife and I are relocating to Illinois from.. (I can't wait to see the responses...) San Diego. Yes I got a great job here and that's why we are moving.

I hope to find some fun trails that are not so muddy out this way. Mud is just not my thing. Now rocks and sand, that's another story. We like to camp and wheel and I hope we can do some of that this summer.

I drive a 1994 4runner that's in the process of being built up. It's got 33 BFG AT's, 5.71's, rear Truetrac, front BJ Spacers, Rear Coil Spacers, Marlin rear bumper (needed that tow hitch to pull the trailer out here.). It has other stuff too and needs much more to be "there".

That's about it for now.

Thanks,

Frank

Good luck with it!

Oh yeah, much fun. Corral Canyon, Ocatillo, Palo Verde, great places to wheel and explore. I like them so much I am dead set on finding a beater and leaving it in San Diego so I can visit and wheel them.

Hi Frank, welcome. Yeah you're backwards, most people move to, not from SD. Have you ever been to Glamis? Check out The Silver Lake Sand Dunes sometime this summer.

Yeah, people are like "You're moving where?". It's all good.

I have a friend where I'll be working to likes to head to Silver Lake and we're going to hit that up this summer. Sand is a blast. I haven't been in the dunes since I regeared and got larger tires. It should be fun.

I have my motorcycles in my trailer (was a Toy 4x4 pick up at one time) and will do final packing tomorrow. I hit the road Wed early. I think I'll take the northern route through Colorado but I'm torn between that and the 40. The northern route looks to have lower temps but I have to climb the Rockies at a high point. Not sure about the climbs in the southern route.

Nice Runner! That got the 3.0 or 3.4? I can't remember what year they started the 3.4.

I had a '91 4Runner pretty much all stock except for some BFG ATs on some aluminum wheels. My Taco is getting a Marlin Crawler bumper soon too.

Nice to see another Toy here!
