Default Whoops

I was just going through several boxes of 4x4 mags that i've collected, and while reading a section of "WHOOPS", i thought.........naxja has stickies on readers rigs and rock crawling pics. why not make a "whoops" section.

any chance???

guess i'll start. nothing to fancy so far.

local farmer hosts a "spring mudfest" every year. this water hole was probably about 100-150 feet long, and had only been successfully completed by 3 jeeps. even the huge lifted and stroked chevys on 39's couldn't do it.

when my turn came,

this......

resulted in this........

not mine, but my buddy grants:
we were wheelin on some trails in grayling near his cabin and i decided to turn around since it was mostly marsh. grant being the bruland that he is, decided to go for it. flying at about 15-20 mph through the marsh, he caught a rut about 3 feet deep and it sent the back end of the jeep up about 3-4 feet in the air. it scared the crap out of everyone since i didn't think they had seat belts on, luckily they did and it saved them from injury. but the jeep had a broken shock, bent UCA, LCA and a broken axle mount, along with a tweaked "frame". we ended up finding this old wwII veteran to weld everything back up and he drove it home the next day.

I'm not shure if you're looking for broken stuff or bonehead moves, but here we go.

I was taking the "easy" line through this hole with two wheels on dry land when my RF tire dropped 2-3 feet, rest of jeep followed shortly. :chiefwoohaw: I was a dumbass for not driving through the middle and not disconnecting my swaybar.:miff:

Scorpio, did you pop that motor at the mounds? If you did I think I witnessed you tossing the rod in the parking lot. Hydrolock is a bad bad thing.

I was wondering what that was. I brought my big dog to the shop and when I opened the bottom drawer to my tool box, he ate something out of it that looked like chocolate bar with peanuts and yogurt packed in one end of it. Dogs been throwing up for about two hours now.

Ok I see how it is Well one day last summer my brother and I were out back behind are house in are field messing around after he istalled a lock-right. Long-story short doing donuts in a Jeep with no sway bars a brother with a heavy foot and tall grass equals bad times. The jeep flopped on to its side them slowly on to its roof were it stoped. Wierd thing is we were only doing about 5 mph or so. The one thing my brother was pissed about was most of his sixty dollar royal purple oil had drained out by the time we were able to roll it back over.
