Default will any 4.0 fit in a 2000 TJ?

A friend broke a valve on his 4.0 and in turn put a hle in the piston and jacked up the cylinder wall pretty bad, so hes looking for a new engine as he still loves the jeep. Will any 4.0 fit. I know they switched to coil packs somewhere down the line but wasnt sure if that affected anything as far as the actual blocks were concerned for swappability.

Also, if anyone has one for sale or would be interested in doing the swap for $$$ let me know how much, as he doesn't know much about cars and will need it installed

What type of Jeep? The 4.0L's for the Grands have different mounting bosses for the motor mounts, so there are some differences.
