Default Mangled brake line 93 YJ

My rear steel line crumbled today while trying to install a drop bracket for my ongoing lift project. The fitting on the flexible line also looks beyond repair. I can get the flex line from Auto Zone, but what about the hard line? All I can find in the catalogues are complete SS replacement kits for $150+, not individual lines. This is my daily driver, so I don't think I want to mess around with learning to bend my own. Can I get individual lines anywhere besides the dealership?

you can only get the brake hoses from the zone not the whole assy, my bet would be the dealer. if you cant bend the lines your self

Get a lever type tube bender and have at it, it's easy. Someday you may need the skill out on the trail.
BTW, if you are gentle, you can even bend the line by hand. I had to do that to replace the line that goes to the right front caliper on my YJ while I was in West Branch over the holidays.

you can buy 5' sections of line at any auto parts and then you use the inline connectors to put two together. its easy stuff, and as for bening the line stuff in starting at the front and the bend as needed down the frame rail. do not try and use compression fittings for brake line repairs they are not rated for high presure

Its extremely easy to do it yourself. I just did all of the brakelines on my scrambler, and I had never bent a line before! Just buy one of those $5 lever benders and experiment on a piece. very easy, trust me.

Thanks all - my Auto Zone guy looked at me like I was nuts for not trying to bend my own. I assume the front lines are in bad shape like the rear, so I guess I will learn to bend and save some $$.
