Default What are you guys running for carbs?

What are you guys running for carbs?

Got an 87 with stock carb, looking at options, anyone running the weber? hows it do off camber ect. Anyone try the 2100 on a sammy? heard it's do-able with a little die grinder work, but it seems a little big for 1300cc's.

Thanks for the help.

If you are serious about getting a Weber setup, contact Sarge at Midwest performance. He is the guru when it comes to Webers. To answer your question, yep, they will work fine on off camber stuff.

Also, Toyota corolla 1.2 carbs will work, and Hyundai Pony carbs work well too. Breeze thru car-part.com to find what you need.

i've heard the Pony carbs are sort of crappy on angles, and very finicky.

I've been thinking about doing the Corolla Carb, but i think i'd rather just convert to Fuel Injection.

and i know aguy with a sarge weber in michigan, he seems to enjoy it, says its alot more power.

I noticed Sarge on izook, probably what I'll end up doing, but wanted some different opinions.

Sarge-a-fyed intake, and weber, with the Sarge-Asian Auto camshaft kicks butt.

how hard is it to convert to EFI?

I just bought an '87 sami with a dead motor, and a tracker 1.6 motor to drop in,
