Bullshit. There's no way you thought of that comeback.

We can't pull out now; even though it is bad over there the soldiers and Marines are the only thing keeping the whole middle east from going into comeplete chaos. Besides if we pull out this one is going to come and bite us in the ass later on.

Unfortunately, many people feel as you do. I respect that opinion, but don't think it is a viable option at this point. As the Iraqi people as a whole have found it too difficult to stand up and wrest their country from the 30-some factions that make up the insurgent/terrorist oppostion, it's clear that democrocy won't be attained in Iraq. It was a worthy cause, but flawed by the ones it was intended to help. Sad, but true. Leaving, however, would create a vacuum that would quickly be filled by Iran and Syria, two of the biggest militant governments in the world. Our best interests will be served by keeping our enemies at arms length, not inviting them to our doorstep.

Reference the "America First" movement of the '30s & '40s to see how well "protecting our homeland" worked for them.

I agree with the last guy. I wish we could pull out, so I won't have to go there when I go in the Marines this june after I graduate. I tell you guys one thing I may only be 18 but I know one thing for certain I would much rather fight the enemy over there than on American soil where my family would be put in great danger and have to live in constant fear. It's bad enough that the people in Iraq have to live in fear of the danger that awaits them on every street I don't want my litttle brother and sister to have to experience that too. I just hope that you guys can respect that.

AFC was flawed with actual uninformed support of the Nazi. I don't think will happen.

The USS Cole was attacked in 2000. Are you talking about the USS Stark, attacked in the late 80s by Iraq.
PS - thanks for your sevice.

I'm gonna hold you to that. I'm still debating whether I'm coming to the x-mas party, but if you're nuts are gonna be out, I'll be there for sure.

I think a good reason for putting it off is becasue there is no progress being made.
