AX-5 does not engage 4th gear fully

I have to hold the shift lever back to keep it in fourth, trans is (supposedly) rebuilt by some McClown in his driveway...is ther an adjustment for this? I do NOT want to take my jeep back to the clod who kept it for 6 weeks!
