Default Air cleaner with power brakes

I just converted my CJ to power brakes with a YJ power brake booster. Well, the booster sticks out so far that it interferes with the air cleaner. How can I solve this problem. I wonder if I could use a YJ air cleaner setup? Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I wonder if its easy to modify the filter housing? alot of times you can trim the peice out around the item and invert it and weld it back in. that or consider a TJ air filter housing and then pipe it to the right front corner

I could look in my attic and see if I have a CJ power brake air filter and sell it for $20 if I do.

Otherwise, maybe just make your own (snorkel) setup and route it out of the way. Also, you should be able to get just about any size 5-1/4 (I think) size air filter at your local parts store. Just get a small, tall one so it fits with the booster.

Yes, its just a matter of having the right breather. The offset one is the one you need.

If you end up going with the YJ air filter setup, let me know if you need the piping and the air box, I have 2 of them.

Mine won't work for you. It was from a 304 and I'm guessing you have a 258?

I just used a 6" air filter element and the appropriate hardware, got it at Murrays for like $10.
