Default best junk yard to sell a car to in mero detroit

I see all these ad's for buying un-wanted cars, has anyone dealt with one thats not a scam?

I just bought a 99 grand prix and it runs and drives great but the left rear strut mount is rusted thru and I have read its not a easy fix or cheap.

This thing is loaded with leather and all the glass is good only bad part is the left frt fender is damaged, trans and motor run like new.

Not in that way. They advertise that they pay "top dollar" but then offer you $100-$150

That is what I was referring too

How much do you expect them to offer you for a junk car?

Check what yards are paying, then figure if they need to come get or if you can drop it off.

If you don't want to part it out and can't find someone who wants it for parts or to fix it, you're screwed. If the rest of the car is in good shape maybe someone will want to fix it....that's your best bet. If you expect a scrapper to give you scrap value for it then you're gonna be disappointed. They'll offer $100-150 less than it's worth in scrap, scrap it themselves and make a little profit.

First $800 can have it. All it needs its some welding done to the strut tower and the major repair is done. Its still runs and drives fine.

All it needs done? Why not just weld it up?
