Yep, quite frequently. In heavy traffic I will leave enough room for the car in the next lane to move over. If my lane is moving faster i will wait until I am clear to get in front of the guy in the lane next to me so I am not in his blind spot for more than a second.

Ride like everyone is trying to kill you and you should be okay! lmao

Yes I know the saying. And taking the proper precautions when riding does not mean I cant get smoked by someone not paying attention. But I make sure that I am always paying attention and not putting myself in dangerous situations.

Its not going to protect me from everything out there trying to kill be but I try to eliminate as much risk as possible when I am on the bike.

Again....I worked with H-D at a fairly high level for 3 years.
Every week when I was in either Milwaukee, York, KC or Tomahawk someone had been in an accident. And these were guys that rode their entire lives.

Remove half of the rotor from the drive motor.

Are you retarded?
All power trains come from Milwaukee.
All fairings, bags, etc... come From Tomahawk, WI
All are assembled in York, PA or K.C.

They do bring some components from overseas (wheels/tires), but those bikes are VERY heavily US contented.

But please......speak more about something you have no idea on.

Unless it has changed recently, forks (Showa) and carbs (Keihin) were imported, as well as most electrical components.

At one point the Honda Gold Wing and Harley had identical US content and labor, something a GW riding friend of mine loved to remind me about.

This was late 90's early 2000's, might be different now.

In 2010 they were still turn their own screws and fasteners.
They did the chroming in York.
They may do some importing, but there is A LOT of US content on their bikes.

I went on on the 'Factory Tour' in 2010, IIRC, US content was in the 90% range. Yes, mainly US.

Now, a lot of aftermarket trinkets for HD are foreign.... that's another story...

I get a laugh out of people who spot the Showa forks and claim HD is imported even my 89 has them.

One of the more interesting bits of trivia is that the Evolution motor was designed in collaboration with Porsche.

When I worked there they preferred you to wear H-D clothing both at corporate and in the plants. I always LOL'd when I saw the "made in china" label on the shirts.

Default Harley

I think the increase in Trike production + Electric Bike development is all setting Harley up to compete with the Little Rascal Scooter.
