Haha. Thanks.

I've been hearing a lot of that. Definitely do it. Turbo LS the world.

For comparison sake. This is ~25# of boost. :D

Not true. I bet there are lots of beginners who try running it with 25 lb of boost!!

....Then once they replace the pistons and rods they back it down to 8 or so

Well I drove her tonight. Only went a mile down the road to a buddies house.

Forgot the fuse for the electric fan... didn't get a chance to heat up so no worries...
Also, when I pulled the valve covers to check things out. My turbo oil feed line got pinched. So my valve cover is leaking.

Fueling looked great. Built boost very fast. Went to 25# on a part throttle 2000-4000 second gear pull. Was having a hard time idling. So I was two footing it. Overall. .. not bad for a carryover tune with a segment swap and shine guesses.... I'll play with it more tomorrow. Stay tuned I'm headed to a bonfire tomorrow to tear up a swamp.... with 3 go pros...

LOL - was telling a guy here about putting a LQ4 in my 66 C10: He said "You wanna see what a LQ4 can do?" and showed me a video of a jeep blasting around. Heard the spool and the BOV and showed him this build thread.

Looks like I know Zach and Blake.

Sorry to hear about the recent developments...

Haha. Nice.

Yea. They are good friends of mine.

I expected this result, no big deal. You can't push 25+# through a stock long block and expect it to be reliable. Haha.

But I plan on turning down a bit, to make it reliable. I miss wheeling.

Got her back together.

A buddy had a stock 5.3 laying around. So Im borrowing that. Going easy on it. Put a gate on and set her at 15#. I think itll be good.

Im heading to the mounds tomorrow morning with a few buddies. Give her a test.

Still have a bunch on the to do list.

If you don't brace/support that lower link tube it's going to be touching the t-case. Ask me how I know.

Thanks guys.

Feva, it will definitely be braced. I'm going to tie the seat mounts and skid into it.

This is where Im at with the next phase of build... Mid length 4-link is done. Stretched the rear 5", I was scared, but now that its done, I think that is perfect. Now Im just trying to encase the insane uptravel, and make it look like a wrangler still.

***ATTENTION, I have no idea what Im doing, I have no idea if Ill ever use 1/2 of this uptravel. I have a plan of driving style in my head, to utilize 1000whp on the trails, and it seemed like this could be a cool idea. Also I love trying different stuff. So, flame away, I don't care. but I will be testing this setup out and learning on my own. ****

Started here (links are now welded) (Yesterday)

Today I started playing with the flex/body

Quickly maxxed out the stock skins... (boatsided)

This is my current plan. Trying to make it look less juggy-ish

This is at max flex 10up/6down

I will continue this around the back, building a stock-ish looking tub...boatsided. with a 36x18 radiator back there too... FUCK, idk, I guess we'll see what happens.

My thoughts: Relax on the uptravel. A good amount is obviously a plus but I can't think of any form of offroad racing that typically utilizes more uptravel than down. Especially since you'll never get that much out of the front, so your suspension will be unbalanced and in rough stuff it'll probably end up bucking like a bronco.

How did it gain 200hp by installing a smaller engine and linking the rear?

1000 is lower than I was running when I bent the rods in the LQ4. and its less than Ill run with the new forged rods/pistons.

Like I said, Im going to run it as is. its already done/setup. I've learned everything I know the hard way, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't want to know an answer, I want the why.

I bet I can get pretty close up front... I guess we'll see.

It'll be awhile. Im moving, so Ill be without time to work or a shop, indefinitely soon.

I wanted to. Then again there are so many things I would change already. I just had to draw the line somewhere. 14 bolt would have added another grand or more to the bill, and another month to the time frame. Its on my to do list. But like I said, I need to get the Jeep driving. I have to start packing up the shop. Its gonna suck.
