I could not figure out what was wrong. I was in the parts biz at the time.
A local mechanic/ customer of mine figured it out for me.
I bolt on parts, and will rebuild a common engine, electrical is out of my league.

Jim,

go to youtube, and search 'how to replace turn signal switch GM', you'll find several videos. Those are GM columns still in the YJ's, right? The CJs are.

I am always surprised how many good how-to videos are out there on youtube. I'm build a 6.0 liter for my Jimmy, its helping a lot...

Good call Jason. Will do. Yes, I think it is a Saginaw column.

Oh, and I am jealous about the Jimmy. It's looking sweet.

I just got my 243 heads back from CNC porting friday, and my ECU and wiring harness came today. Cam swap is the next step. 0.637" lift + these heads will wake up the LS2. Motor should be darn close to 550 HP at the crank.

Of course, now I need to take the next few weeks to remodel the family room, sigh..

I have an illuminated magnifying glass. Hopefully I can clamp it to the cage from overhead.
