You would think with the craze and safety using synthetic that all manufactures would just sell their winches with synth cable for saftey reasons.

I know both Warn and Ramsey have one comp winch out with synth cable and hawse fairlead....but I think they should all be offered with it, then just charge $150 more for the winch.

And WTF us up with Warn selling their synth cable for $650.....damn

Why put it on my jeep? I haven't got the controller for it yet? The guy I bought it from lives too far away.

Of course when you are mall-rated like I am, you can just use cotton clothesline since it's all for show.....

Saw a cable snap on a piggyback scrap truck once, it whipped over the front of the truck and split the hood in two...

I broke one...did exactly that. Wish someone got that on video. It was fantastic. Another in our group re-spliced it back together that night at camp. Lost about 15 feet of the rope but used it the next day with no probs.

BTW...my rope was undersized...didn't know at the time that you buy the next size up rope from what you have on there for cable.

I didn't know that, as I bought 5/16" again...but 10' more than my winch came with originally. Not that it matters I don't wheel right Tim

The synthetic rope is the one and only one thing I insisted on having and bought for the Jeep. (Without it being a 'gift'.) Those steel cables scare me.
