Default VIDEO NEEDED! If you were building an ORV park, what would you build?

We are working on a promotional video of obstacles that could be built in an ORV park. If you have a video of something you think would be beneficial, please email it to the email address below. Keep in mind how most promotional videos are created, they are not long, but rather short clips, so we don't need your 10 minute excursion through Lion's Den while you back up, listen to your spotter, etc or the rocks at the Mounds. Short segments are good.

Keep in mind what could be "built". Rocks, logs, shot-crete, mud, small hills, etc.

What have you done that you would like to see recreated?

Thanks.

email to: noyesj@oakgov.com

EDIT: NOTE>>>>>>>>>>. you MUST include the name of the videographer with a note giving permission to use for educational and promotional purposes. We need this quickly because it needs to be created and released next week.

Beefy got some decent bid of us @ flat nasty at the ledges I believe they call waterfall or the bears. That obstacle could be easily duplicated. I'll see if he can upload a short video or two from that spot.

Thanks John.

Best thing is to email directly to Jon's email. Otherwise he has to pick them off here, which can be time consuming.

Multi-lined ledges are always fun, makes it enjoyable for all wheelbase and level rigs. Stair steps at different angles and such.

Are you looking for just "the obstacle" rather than short section of trail with multiple obstacles?

Anything. I asked him what he wanted and he said too much video is better than not enough. So......... anything that seems it could be recreated withing a couple hundred acres is fair game.
Also, I think a minute or two on a longer course makes sense showing progressive obstacles.

Note to the cheapthrill guys, he mentioned you had shown him some video from when we were at the Mounds. Be sure to include it.

He asked for videos to be emailed. Since I'm a techno idiot, can youtube videos be downloaded to edit?

How much of a budget we talking? It'd be cool to build something for rigs locked front and rear on 35s.

yes. go to www.tubeoffline.com and you just paste the url of the youtube vid in the proper field and follow the instructions.

I'll send this to your guy - its too long but if you edit it down to the last part it shows a pretty nifty rock climb that could be replicated with some strategically placed rocks. Start at 3:50 or so to get a continuous climb.

Don't forget guys, they won't use it if they don't have the name of the videographer and a permission statement. Posting links won't get what we need.

Here is an updated email when I asked for specifics.

I think we are just looking to get whatever we can. We will provide the clips (of various lengths). Our guy will splice together a montage and a narrator will likely talk over much of it narrating the value that it provides to the community.
We are not worried about boring or exciting, we just want to show folks having fun on challenging terrain in a way that does not appear dangerous or destructive.
Just have folks send whatever they can!!!

The problem with many obstacles is they are very short in duration, usually single line of attack and as such are obviously less expensive to recreate but short on long term fun. True 'fun' on a trail I think exists when the challenge is longer in duration and has multiple lines of being attacked.
Some of my favorite local trails woud be Canada. I'm thinking the rock garden on Back Door would make for a nice obstacle.
There are numerous other ones up there also that come to mind. Not sure who might have videos of those. Is there a timeframe for submission? If we have time, we may have to try to do some filming this fall up there.
Is the setting what could be created on a flat surface or might there be some elevation to work into the equation?

As the park progresses there will be more and more obstacles created. This is first a promotional video effort, seconded by education.

As noted in the first post, videos needed for next week.
