Those scamps have a cult following. Used ones are not usually cheap.

I pull a StarCraft 13 RT behind my LJ. With a weight distributing hitch and electric brakes it pulls well. 33's, auto and 3.73 means OD off but tools along at 65mph turning 2500rpm with little trouble. I am sure the shortened life of my trans was partly due to the towing miles, we have run across the scales at 3800+ when loaded for a week.

I cant believe youre not considering this!

It would leave you free to pull a trailer full of motorcycles for other trips as well. :)

These are awesome. Especially the first and last ones. I seldom have a desire to camp any more, let alone travel outside a 3 mile radius from my house, but one of these might make me change my mind...

Meh. I've been around the world a few times already, I'm not ambitious enough to do it again.

It's all good, my travels are primarily within a drive, as I hate to fly. I'm also more-so limited to the continent as I am not a fan of international travel, though I'm good with Canada.

But I do like to get a wee bit further out than 3 miles from home. That wouldn't even allow me to go to the grocery store

I will be camping in this over the weekend. It is fully insulated, with heat and ac,
fat stereo, plenty of lights, full 110ac, and 12v dc electrical.
1400lbs empty, 3500 with 2 sleds and all my gear. Tows Great,!

I'm definitely keeping the idea of attaching a bike hauler to the tongue in mind. :)

I just checked out a 5x8 cargo conversion today. It's pretty nice. Anybody ever affix a dirtbike carrier on the tongue of a trailer?

like this:

Would that be a problem for tongue weight maximums?
