had a great time! first time out in the new truck. thanks for all the help getting her up and going! TTOP made great courses, bunch of new faces..

I'm guessing you used a nice digital SLR and possibly were shooting at 1600 or 3200?

Nikon D5200 with a 18-105mm lens, iso 100, shutter speed taken at 1/50 and 1/60, I let the camera decide the aperture. What I found critical is following the vehicle like you do when you follow a clay target skeet shooting. The more accurately you pan, the clearer the vehicles are against the background. I didn't get the settings figured out until after the first 4 vehicles had gone by so John and Kyle's shots look like they're standing still. At least I know for next time

You can do this with most point and shoot cameras and probably even on your phones now by selecting the "S" (shutter speed) on the dial that usually has the M,A,S,P......right above auto.

On my cannon it's the Tv setting
