How long and how accurately are the records? Not nearly long enough to make these claims.

The history channel had a documentary about the "mini" age age we had during the 1700-1800's

so is this "warm-up" really a result of coming out of this "mini-ice age"
do they know for a fact it isn't something that would have happened without the industrialization?

I don't think anyone really knows for sure.

X2. I'll add one more thing - Do they account for the cycles that the big ball of Gas that heats our planet goes through?

As with may things, nobody can ever know "for sure".

But here's a book, written in 1896, that predicts a raise in temperature as CO2 levels in the atmosphere increase.

http://www.globalwarmingart.com/imag.../Arrhenius.pdf

His predictions have shown to be fairly accurate.

Back in the 70's we had about 12 years worth of oil left and we were all going to freeze to death because we couldn't heat our homes. Yeah............ they were spot on there too................

I believe that the globe has been warming since the last ice age and that it is in a constant change, ever so small that we won't live to worry about. So, I'm going to go dump a bunch of gas in my motorhome to pull my V8 powered jeep to go wheelering.

Pass the buck and pointing fingers!!!
Humans won't last much longer on this planet! You people are so ignorant and lazy. You know the consequences of your actions, but so long as you live a good life now, fuck the future generations.

and this talks about how from 950ad to 1100ad, temps were higher then right now

Medieval_Warm_Period Medieval_Warm_Period

it seems the earth is constantly going up and down in temp

who'd a thunk that?

Yep, it's well known that global temperatures have been going up and down for as long as the earth has existed. And just because scientific studies predict that in temperatures will raise and fall with CO2 levels in the atmosphere, and we know that burning stuff with carbon in it will release CO2 into the atmosphere, and we've been burning stuff with carbon in it at an ever increasing rate over the past century or 2, is not proof that any of those things are related to the raise in global temperatures over the past century.

We're all free to draw our own conclusions.
