Anyone who actually took a look at the real data knows that the whole global warming B.S. is about nothing but scientists trying to keep their grant money and environmentalists latching onto an excuse to kill industry.

wouldn't surprise me.

That wouldn't surprise me either.

I read somewhere that during the 1970s it was all about "Global cooling" and the apocalypse that would come from that. Is that true?

next ice age was all the rage.

Truth is, no one knows what is going to happen, they can't even get next week's weather right half the time.

Truth.

You ever notice how the global warming people take, for example, our record setting snowfall and scream "SEE!?!?!! IT'S HAPPENING!" yet the record we beat is damn near ancient? I find that entertaining.

For fucks sake.

Now they are making sure they can go either way with it. That should be enough to tell you that they are completely full of shit.

I had to LOL at your very first link, as it measured the temperatures of states......I didn't even get past the first paragraph considering how small a state is in the grand scheme of the entire fucking earth.

How about an entire fucking continent? If you look very closely you might have noticed that every fucking state has shown an increase in 44 years shown.

I don't deny that global warming is a real possiblity, but comparing state, country, or even continent data is useless considering the entirety of the Earth.

I don't recall that from the 1970, but I was pretty young than so may have just not been paying attention.

My Dad talks about being taught that back in the 1940's and '50's.

I won't read all the quoted articles, just like I didn't read the first one,

what I don't get is how they can look at 44 years and be so sure of what they think they are sure of, 44 years is not even a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of years this earth has been around (or even the 6000 years for the Bible Literalists). How long and how accurately are the records? Not nearly long enough to make these claims.

The history channel had a documentary about the "mini" age age we had during the 1700-1800's

so is this "warm-up" really a result of coming out of this "mini-ice age"
do they know for a fact it isn't something that would have happened without the industrialization?

I don't think anyone really knows for sure.
