Aren't the Bundy's producing energy from that land currently? In a very Eco friendly way? I don't like the idea of the energy producing being directly related to a family involved on politics. It's a conflict of interest and it makes it very unfair and lop sided.

They are trying to use strong arm tactics and scare people into behaving and letting them run wild. The gov are criminals, criminals like a victim not a challenger. If they can control the people and confine them they can do as they wish, legally or not, without challenge and media coverage.

It's really simple.

And that is why they want to restrict speech, they still think that no one knows what is going on.

Yes sir! I don't think I will see this country back under control in my lifetime but I hope this sort of thing continues when they get out of line.

As Thomas Paine said: “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.” That is a timeless truth that we must accept and embrace, lest we be cursed by future generations as cowards who sold them into slavery for the sake of our own fleeting comfort. As Paine also said, “those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”

Water rights, fracking, buffer zone for solar energy, and much more are great possibilities and one of those is the true driving force. The 100's of thousands of dollars spent so far isn't simply because a few cattle are on our land. It's much deeper than that. You can bet your ass this is money driven.
Sure. Any number of things may actually be going on. But unless there's some proof it is not with discussing. We could waste the rest of our lives playing the "what if" game.

Cliff notes, amiright: Cattle rancher ranches on same land his family has ranched on since 1870. Feds come in and try and take cattle away. Then give cattle back. He says cattle was damaged. Now wants to go to court to try and get money for said damaged cattle?

Just read a quick article on ABC news. Also read something about a militia? Am I too late to jump in on this?

Plenty of facts and evidence. You just want to ignore it. I can't tell if it's because you want to argue here, or if you truly just don't understand what's happening. It's sad.

I feel sorry for you and people like you so blind to what's happening.

i dont know that this is fact, but i read that the feds control about 80% of the land in nevada? i think this is excessive. i think states rights come into play at some point in this. if they need a chunk of land for a base, or training fine.
they should not control a huge chunk of any state (imho).

why do the feds care where some cattle graze on rugged unused land?

It's not the gov going for the dollas. It's Harry Reid and his son using their connections to try and get those dollas.

No matter what... this ENTIRE thing has been nothing but a huge slap in the face to every American citizen.

I don't agree 100%. Bundy stopped paying in 1993 because he felt the gov't wasn't representing him properly. I'm not sure it's his call to just say "fuck you, I don't like what you are doing so I'm not paying anymore". The laws have changed over the years, just like our trail riding laws. I don't think I would get very far using that analogy going up north to the Huron National Forest where I rode as a kid and ride the trails that are now closed.

I had his back 100% when it appeared to be all about the turtles. But knowing that this has been federal land since before Bundy's family started ranching there and he arbitrarily decided to stop paying his usage fees makes his stand less strong.

If the state of Nevada thinks the feds own too much land there, they should be the ones fighting it, not Bundy. If he wants to still use that land, then he should pay the usage fees and fight it in courts. Oh wait, he tried that and lost. (I think I heard that)

You're correct....but you're also missing the point that this is much bigger than Mr. Bundy's opinions or actions. This event was just a catalyst. Then again you're a sharp guy, you probably know that already and just didn't comment on it. I just didn't want that point to go unmentioned.
