This won't end well for the citizens. Sadly even if they "win" this stand off they will be punished by our corrupt government.

Based on what I've read, the guy comes across more like an anti government nutjob than a guy that just wants to be left alone doing his ranching.

He was looking for trouble. The government wisely backed down realizing that it would not end well if they didn't.

They have backed down but not left. The issue is they are closing public land for their own personal financial gain. They need to leave completely and handle this is another way. Showing up with weapons, enacting a no fly zone, and torturing animals is not the way to resolve this issue.

The rancher is the only one using public land for personal financial gain, and he refuses to pay for it.

You watch CNN don't you?

How do you feel about the torturing of the cattle by the contract "cowboys" (a true cowboy wouldn't do what these scum are doing) that the BLM is paying with our tax dollars? How do you feel about the massive amounts of federal against and contracted mercs being used to steal cattle from a citizen?

If what they were doing was legal and ethical why couldn't they find any honest venue to sell the stolen cattle? Why Is the Nevada governor against the Feds if they are so right? If you sell something that someone besides yourself owns it's selling stolen property. This is all bullshit and the BLM rangers are fucking cowards for following the orders of their Nazi leaders.

I do not watch TV news. Most of my information comes from internet news sources.

If someone is torturing animals that is some thing that should be dealt with. My internet searches led to nothing even claiming that that was happening. If you have some information please provide the source and we can discuss it.

If I left my belongings on public property without permission on the agency that managed the property, refused to pay for that privilege, and was told repeatedly that I need to remove that said belongings, I would not be surprised when those belongings get confiscated. Confiscation is different than stealing.

I could not find anything about the feds trying to sell the confiscated cattle, although this is what I would expect the feds to do with confiscated cattle. If you have a source of more information, please share.

The governor of Nevada is a politician, just like the rest. It would also appear that he may be up for reelection this year, and given that he is a republican it would not be surprising that he would make a comment that would appeal to his supporter base. It means nothing to me.

If you are occupying and using land that you do not own and that you are not authorized to use it is trespassing.

http://m.sltrib.com/sltrib/mobile3/5...y-blm.html.csp

I don't expect you to know anything about how to handle live stock. When you herd cattle with copters, for miles without breaks they stress and die. Spring is calving season, any cow hand will tell you the actions of the BLM will kill cattle. Dying of heat exhaustion and dehydration is in my book torture.

http://mobile.wnd.com/2014/04/feds-c...ada-range-war/

"Tight bags" means they are full of milk. Calves drink milk from the mama cows for food much like human babies. Without food animals die. It's a pretty horrible death. Tell me this is ok in your book. It's ok to treat cattle in a way that a rancher would go to jail for? Fuck the Feds fukc the BLM and fukc anyone who treats a helpless animal in such a cruel sick way. It's nuts, and over what? A piece of land they want free of cattle so it can be a "buffer" zone so the Chinese can build their solar play ground?

I so hope these stupid asshats from the BLM and the contract "cowboys" (pussies pretending to be cowboys) all die of starvation. An eye for an eye. This isn't how it should be handled and bringing armed thugs is a bullshit tactic. The Feds are being the aggressor and they deserve to be met with resistance until they are under our (after all they are the citizens employees) control and working for us not against us.

So how should it be handled? This guy has been illegally using public land for 20 years, and has ignored several court orders to remove his cattle and pay the fees for grazing. He has stated that he has no intention of obeying federal laws.

Maybe the timing is bad, maybe it should happen at whatever time of the year cattle round ups typically take place. But I do support the idea that the owner/manager of a property has the right to confiscate and dispose off things left on their property illegally.
