Not sure what you mean by this. Was this a smartass remark or support for the rancher?

I read an article that says the Bundys and the blm have had a meeting and they offered to purchase the collected cattle or return them to him. He is taking them back. The meeting lasted a little over thirty minutes and both sides were well armed. oh and I saw one article that states hwy 117 (or whatever it was) was shut down in both directions by militia members, not the blm as some sites stated. My guess is that they shut it down to hinder reinforcements. Double

I really hope the current administration reads this as a warning that We The People are sick of their bullshit.

I'm reading on Facebook that they didn't really back down, and the situation is quite tense still. I wish I could grab a link from my Facebook app.

I haven't followed much of the story, but one would assume managing operations of the land would include collecting fees, permits, etc.

The official (or at least what I believe to be official) facebook account being updated by the Bundy family is that - at least for now - they have fully retreated and no tension is evident at this point, the cattle are being herded back to the ranch, and the BLM has left the area.

This could get really crazy. The sad part is until someone is dead it will get no attention at all from those who should be stepping in. Its insane to think this shit is happening here. Pretty soon we'll be like every other 3rd world country fighting for basic rights and freedoms, or the chance to make a living outside of the govt. control.

I hope your right Jim. Situations like this have a way to motivate people and not always in the best ways. Where I would normally stay out of a thread like this I'm sitting here getting more pissed off by the minute. If it was a closer drive I feel like I'd be compelled to go, with the feeling that's there's strength in numbers. There's a picture posted over on pirate4x4 from someone that drove through there. Its from a phone and it shows millita members on a bridge, one holding a high powered rifle, sniper style. The scene there looks pretty intense just from that one photo.

They were saying that there is about 1500-2000 on site but supposedly there is/was about 5000 more that have mobilized and is in route. Who knows, lots of mis information from all sides and all sites.
