My wife and i are just starting out this summer. We are close to the Midland ciry forrest and the trails in Sanford. We like to bike but arond town and rail trail get old fast. We also plan on going north alot and going to differnt places to ride. I have back issues but between losing weight and the intensive physical. Therapy program i just started i am optimistic that i will be able to ride more aggressive trails. Also i am buyimg a full suspension bike the Camber made by Specialized bike co. When i took the bike foe a test ride i went over some curbs kind of fast and with that full suspension it didnt hurt me at all. So i am anxious to get through therapy and get out riding.

Pine haven in Sanford offers a lot of trail options from wide ski trails to tight single track and big climbs. The best trails are off the map on the state land. City forest is more fun IMO after you get used to single track.

Just picked up a new Specialized youth bike for my 8 yr old. It is a very cool black and red 7 speed bike. He is going to love it.

Anywhere and every where we can go....

In michigan in the last 4 years we've hit copper harbor, Marquette, Traverse city, Petoskey, Boyne Highlands, Arcadia dunes, Merrell Trail, Poto, Brighton, Highland, Pontiac Lake, Holdridge, Milford, Novi Treefarm, Mayburry, Stoney Creek, Ann Arbor, etc.

We've also ridden in WV, PA, OH, VA, NY, and IN. And Canada (vancouver and other areas in British Columbia).

The kids have ridden most every trail with us in michigan. They'll turn 9 in August.

Well hit the age right anyway. Some reason I thought you only had one boy . Anyway you guys sure get around. My youngest is 8 and this will be his first summer trail riding. I want to get him some time at the local places so he will have enough practice to be able to ride at those more challenging places.

My wife has an 8 year old daughter as well, she's 20 days older than my son.

Yeah, we probably ride a different trail every weekend if we can. It's like trail riding in a jeep, but without all the wrenching, gas money, broken parts, and hours on end with someones jeep broke down or stuck in the mud.

Exactly, I love being out on the trails but taking a Jeep and doing it is expensive. I am looking to get into a Unlimited next spring to do some mild two tracking and throw a bike rack on it.
