Well, just put motor back together. The bearing I replaced is the one that failed.. Weird. Oh well replaced both. Need to finish up bike assembly then rebuild shock and forks soon. Gonna take a little ride tomorrow and see if it stays together this time.

I'd like to get mine out, but I know that I'd get shot for tearing up the yard just to get it out.

Grass grows back, I don't care.

Put it back together and ran it. Noise is gone. Got all the little crap I needed, new seat and stuff. Just gonna put it all together properly with care hoping I don't need to take it back apart.

Finished it all up. Ran it around for about 30 minutes. Running poopy on the big end. Advanced timing. Helped a lot. Not great yet. Need to check jetting and all that mess. But she looks good. Gotta rebuild rear shock and tune it, then it'll be 100%

Nice job, looks like it turned out great. Are those dents in the pipe? You can try to fill it with water and freeze them out. You might split the pipe, you might not.

Yep, it revs up great not under a load. Need to get a manual to help out. Yes those are dents in the pipe. Gonna get an aftermarket pipe and silencer eventually so I'll have a spark arrestor and can ride the trails.

I just got my kx out today and rode it around. I'm in the same boat with mine right now. Any progress with your build?

eh not really. Messed with timing and powervalve adjustment. Helped a little. Still need to take off carb and make sure it is at stock settings. Rode it around for about an hour so far. Hitting the little double out back with it. Well single single it. No big jumping till I get the shock rebuilt.

Found a recently rebuilt rmz250 shock on cl. Put that on, holy cow much better. Also retimed it because I had it wrong. Check all the jetting and put it back to stock settings, moved needle as well. Ran it wide open then shut it off and the spark plug was covered in fuel. So its running real rich. Which is what I read online that they are jetted way to fat from the factory. Buying a selection of jets tomorrow to get it dialed in. Put about 2 tanks of gas through it so far. Messing around on the jumps in my back yard. Practicing berms and just all around comfort level on the bike. Just has me jonesing for a bigger bike!

Found out the float is too high. Increasing the pressure in carb making it run rich. Ordered a new needle because it was wore down slightly. So I'll get that and adjust the float level and it'll run good!
