Default Are GM 8 lug 2wd axles narrow then 8 lug 4wd axles.

Just like the title says. Are GM 8 lug 2wd axles more narrow then 8 lug 4wd? If so what's the wms of the 2wd.

They are 3" (?) narrower. I believe it is 3, i know they are but i can't remember the exact number.

That the same thing I read but I can't find the wms listed anywhere. I think this is with 88-2000 axles?

Yes, I forogt that the FF are the same width; the SF are different widths.

Just looked it up

14 bolt 4wd 67.25"
14 bolt 2wd 63.5"

Thanks, I knew cab and chassis 14 bolts are 63.5 but I didn't know 2wd 14 bolt are that narrow.
