MGO has a poll going for a group buy. Hope you like 9mm because that's the clubhouse leader.

Freedom Munitions seems to be the go to place for reliable reloaded ammo at decent prices. I've never used it, but I have a friend that bought 1000 rounds of 9mm and all of it worked perfectly.

I found a little gun shop in Romeo Michigan that seems to have a good supply of reloaded ammo. He has a guy that reloads for him and some customers say it is just as good as factory loads. I personally have not fired any yet but did buy 150 rounds of 9MM. The shop is called Shooters Emporium and is located at 149 S Main just south of 32 mile on the east side of Van Dyke. Phone is 586-336-4100.

He's right down the road from me. Great little shop. Not a huge selection but if you're looking for an old shotgun or rifle for an upcoming hunting season on the cheap... definitely check them out.

I thought about picking up some of those reloads but wasn't very impressed with the prices. They want just as much for 50 rounds of mismatched .38 Special FMJ reloads as factory new.

Yes, prices were a little high I think (never bought reloads before) but with the scarcity of ammo not too bad and he has a good supply. He also has a gunsmith available to repair your guns. I have an old Winchester 12 Ga. in now for repair.

Don't get me wrong. I love that little shop. I just didn't care for the reloads. I could hang out in there with those guys all damn day lmao

You guys need to reload. If you can't load 9mm for eight bucks per fifty somethings wrong.

Not a problem, I did not think anything about what you said and even said the prices seemed a little high, my 9MM was $13.99 for 50. But again, with the scarcity of factory ammo it would be a good deal.

The owner even taught me something about the shotgun I dropped off for repair. It is an old Winchester with the steel (not blued) barrel. I did not know it but he said you can just hold the trigger and pump the gun and it will fire as fast as you can pump without pulling the trigger for each shot. Cool, and I will have to try it when I get it back.

I do not shot enough to justify the cost and time of reloading, and besides the reloader has to make a living doesn't he? Then there is the shop owner that has to pay rent and insurance, it all adds up.

I'm in a shop all day making a living selling the stuff. I'm also a shooter and couldn't afford to shoot without reloading.

You probably shoot a lot, but myself I shoot maybe 200 rds a year so not worth it.

You have to remember most shops that sell ammo also sell reloading equipment. Your not hurting them just buying something different and saving money .

You should drop by there on a Saturday morning when the old timers all gather for the free coffee and donuts It's absolutely hilarious hanging out with them. Perfect small town shop.

Gotta love Model 12's. That's "the perfect repeater" if you were wondering. I have a hard time shooting any pump gun other than a Model 12 because no other ones will cycle fast enough since they all have queer disconnects.

Does your Model 12 have a ribbed barrel or checkered stock?

Probably a standard field grade, although there are a million configurations. That's about the best utility shotgun made, although you are limited to a fixed choke, or a polychoke. If it is cleaned and oiled properly, it should be about the fastest acting pump action made, and even faster cycling than many auto loaders if you do your part.
