I do some copper fab/sculpting for fun between projects. Thought this one turned out pretty well.

Do you have any interest in craving ducks? I have a lot of partially done ducks. Lots of books and diagrams. Do not know what they are worth.

Thanks for the kind words. I've really only ever made stuff for gifts or to hang in my house. I probably have about 10 hours into this one. It is going to be auctioned at a fund raiser for a co-worker who was recently diagnosed with some serious medical issues. I could probably come up with something for the award.

How do you do the coloring change? Is there something to make copper tarnish quickly or some kind of acid etching, or...

Those utensil sculptures are great. Another artist uses wrenches for similar work. For the color I use different acids from

Oops. Acids from a supplier in CA. On the bluegill I used an oxidizing torch flame.

It sold for $725 at the benefit auction! I was really pleased to be able to help my friend out.
