Default measuring a 14 bolt axle

Trying to figure out what type of 14 bolt i have so i can put on disc brakes. I know I have the type B hubs, but I am trying to figure out if I have the C&C (63.5") axle or just the SRW axle (67"). My question is when measuring from WMS ( wheel mount surface) to WMS, I am getting a measurement of 65". I have the drum on still ( since that is where the wheel mounts to ). How do you properly measure WMS to WMS. I am using 2 flat surfaces up against the WMS to measure across. Do the drums stay on?

My 14 bolt is from a 2000 Chevy and while I never measured before the disc brake swap, after the discs it ended up 65.5" too. Most of the housings are the same, the width differences are in the hub offset.

What's to confirm? You measured your axle wms to wms and it's 65.5". Congrats, you're done.

He is asking how to identify what axle he has, either A or B but his axle meets specs for neither.

I get that, but his axle isn't A or B, maybe it's C.
