Default Trails near Muskegon

Good evening, everyone. I couple friends of mine and I are heading to Silver Lake opening weekend. I have heard a couple people talk about trails just North of Muskegon. We were thinking of hitting them on the way up. Can anyone help me with a specific location to get on the trails? Vehicles include an early Bronco, Wrangler, and a side-by-side. Any help is appreciated. If I asked this in the wrong spot, feel free to move it...you're dealing with a newbie here, please be kind.

There are some off of m120 south of Holton which is just a two-track that goes back to some power lines, nothing spectacular the two-track is state land but the power lines would be illegal. There is another marked ATV type
trail on Ryerson rd west of maple island, its gets pretty tight, and you can end up on private property if your not careful. That's all I know of

Stop at your local dnr office. They will give you free maps of open legal trails
