I use Oreilly as they are the closest to me and have a decent warranty.

I warrantied one this past summer and another a week ago. I have multiple vehicles and they tend to sit around a while. Never had a problem with them if I drive them everyday.

But you can get them cheaper at Wal-Mart, Sams Club or Costco.

If you want to spend some loot get an AGM battery, some people like the Sears Diehard ones.

this is what i was thinking. my jeep has a tendency to sit for a month or 2 at a time. and this last time it sat for about 4 months. the 2 year old crappy battery will no longer hold a charge so i want something that wont die on me from sitting. i understand that batterys discharge over time but to flat out die like this is unacceptable.

I have heard good things about the diehard agm battery but have never used one. I have a optima red top in my tj its going on two years old and i havent had any issues with it so far. My jeep sets for weeks at a time and has started fine all winter.

I put a DieHard AGM into my pickup before winter. It sometimes sits for days or weeks.

Works well thus far.

I finally quit dicking around with Walmart batteries (which they always replaced under warranty when I killed them with the winch BTW) and switched to the Diehard Platinum AGM. Never had to think about it again. Wasn't cheap, but did everything I asked every time without complaint.

Die hard agm (group 35?) Is on sale for $141 at Sears right now. Been thinking about going to get one. Mine is shot as well. Optima Red top on Amazon is right around the same price and has dual terminals which i really like. Problem is, i heard the new Red tops aren't as good as the older ones.

Optima isnt optima anymore. I hated my diehard agm. I hear good things about interstate, but who knows. Get a float charger for it when it sits extended lengths.

I keep hearing that the optimas now suck. Personally I've had good luck. I bought one around 2002/2003 and went to dual optimas around 2004/2005. To date I have replaced one about 2 years ago. I honestly don't know if it was the first or second one. My jeep sits for weeks at a time & always starts fine.
When running duals you always read that they should be the same age & be replaced together. I've done none of that & my batteries have lasted way longer than expected.

I also have a Diehard Platinum. My Jeep hasn't been out since the weekend of the Mustache Run. It fired right up last week .
