Yep...

The stupidity surrounding .22LR is the only reason I haven't bothered completing my Glenfield Model 60 project.

It's easier and more fun to shoot my Trooper at 100 yards.

Even international gun runners are having trouble finding .22lr...

I miss the days I could sling my 22lr down the range all willy nilly. Now I have to limit myself to 200 rounds, I hope it is available in the next 2 years or I will run out.

Found a S&W knock off at Meijers today. Pretty well done, cylinder release works and cylinder opens. Comes with two loaded moon clips, cylinder rotates when fired. Is DAO and does make a decent gun shot sound. Has plastic pachs and scope, not bad for $7.99. Looks like a model 629 hunter model I think.

They are too fuckin smart. They know me. If I walk outside, unarmed, they just crow. But if I see them from a window where they can't see me and walk out with a gun, they bolt. They also will bolt if they see me looking at them from a window because I have taken shots at them from the house.

How far is 9mm bird shot good for?

Earlier this year they were eating on a deer carcase I had out for the yotes and the kid and I went out and sat in the hunting shack. They flew off when we got in the shack and we sat in there for a hour and they never came back. As soon as we walked back to the house you could hear them back there again.

When I was a kid I used to hunt crows with an old boom box and a crow call tape. Worked great! It's bring them in over and over again so I could choot them with the trusty 12 gauge.

The pistol bird shot is only good for point blank shooting. I shot a rattler out west with 9mm shot and it kept going. My friend shot it with his 45 snake shot and it cut it in half.

12GA with an extra full choke will reach out and fukc Shit up.

I had a box of .22lr birds hot for chipmunks, I set up a paper target on a cardboard box to pattern it and see what I was working with. It was absolutely worthless wouldn't penetrate the cardboard and bounced off from more than 6' away, under 6' it was about a 30" spread from my rifle.

I was shooting the ones with a blue pill cap looking tip. My dad had some old ones with the crimped brass nose sorta like a shotgun shell but pointy and thoes did work but I haven't been able to find any like that.

That's what I had, the crimped ones. I just sold what I had left of those since I don't need them out here at the new house. I had 48 left of the 200 I bought. Originally I thought they would be quieter but they were loud as hell.

Y'all might enjoy our latest podcast episode about reloading. We figured with me just buying a press and getting started, it would be relevant:

zOMFG Safariland 6280 FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome holster. Lots of muscle memory training in my future. Gotta get used to the exact up motion to keep the pistol from binding on the draw.
