My one mag a year picture comment wasnt directed at you. Like I said if thats all you do whats the difference ?
I did see you type bcm is way better quality then RRA. This is why I asked you what the difference was. I get customers in daily looking at guns and will have a strong opinion against one brand or another. I politely ask if they had a problem with thier rifle?
It usually comes down to something they read or a uncles cousins friend read it on the internet.
I will say this we've had one hammer break and one gas key loosen since we've carried rock river the last ten years. I believe we bought
forty rifles last year. We had two pof's that went back also.
Does this make them terrible rifles ? I dont think so . Did they take care of the customer ? Yes they did .
I will be with a guy shooting bcm today and will watch for failures and report back.

That's all I was looking for and that's why I asked. A real world opinion on them. A Google search these days does nothing but bring up fan boy reviews for any brand.

STOP YELLING AT ME.

I will try to get some video today of the shooters. This weather brings the worse out in rifles. My mutt ar pistol that never coughs had some failures to feed last month. The carbon was terrible I think the condensation holds it in there?

I would go with a pump for home defense. Fewer parts, less to go wrong. An 870 is a great, inexpensive pump shotgun. Lots of aftermarket parts, will take a ton of abuse and is about as simple and straight forward as you can get.

870, extended mag tube, short barrel, youth stock = perfect. Compact, easy to handle...nasty setup.

If i go with a pump it will be a Mossberg 500. That's what i grew up with and i prefer it over the Remington.

I'm that way with the Remington...grew up shooting them and prefer them. Both are very good shotguns though, can't go wrong with either.

My big thing is i prefer the safety up on the stock opposed to down by the trigger guard....it feels natural to have it up there where i can manipulate it with my thumb

+1 for the Mossberg 500. If it just you, 12g. If it is your wife using it as well, consider. 20g with youth stock.

Benelli M4. Just because.

I own one and get a boner every time I shoot it. No one would fukc with you in a home defense scenario with one of those and while rocking a raging hard-on.

I want to build a poor man's Benelli since I can't afford the real thing to give 3 gun a try later using a Stoeger Model 3000:

My poor-mans three gun wanta be shotties . Top one is a 1187 with a smooth bore rifle sight choke tube barrel. The sights are on at 40 yards with turkey loads or 50 with a slug.
The camo mess on the bottom was a Jackson prison gun rusted and missing the stock. A friend wanted to try Duracoat so I let him spray it. I planed to do the stock and forearm in duracoat but a guy near here is doing the dipping so I might go that way.
