Red face age

Is there a age requirment for allowing a kid to legally ride on the orv trailes in Michigan my Quad is a legal two up and the driver will be a adult. I think as long as the kid has a helmet. I think we are good? ??

There is only an age requirement for the person operating the vehicle. Your rider should be good to go as long as they wear a DOT approved helmet.

^^^ what he said. Passenger on a 2-up is fine, If he/she wants to operate it, they need the following in MI:
1. ATV training certificate- one issued my the state- not some private training course. Most middle or high schools offer these courses at some point through the year.
2. 12 year old minn. age allowed and they need to be within eyesight of adult.
3. Ages 12-16 are allowed to ride up to a 90cc bike/ATV.

I believe there are a couple other rules and regulations, but that pretty much sums it up.
